This position is very important to us. We have continued to expand our service area and find that we can no longer service the leads at the level of service that we demand of ourselves. We are looking for at least one hard working, self-disciplined individual to join our estimating team.

You would primarily be working out of your home office, while coming to Marlboro occasionally for training and meetings, etc. All of your estimating work is done through a customized, web based business solution. In essence, you log onto our web site, collect the estimates that have been assigned to you and then either schedule an appointment with the customer (if they want one – 90% don’t) or arrange to otherwise go and visit their property. You take various measurements, do an initial design and take digital photos.

Once back to your office, you input the data through the web application and upload photos and the cad drawing that you’ve done. The corporate office will then handle the mailing or emailing of the proposals to the customers. As for ongoing follow up, we’ll work with you to design a customer follow up strategy that works best for everyone.

This opportunity is perfect for someone who works well independently, likes to be outdoors (not tied to an office), communicates well, likes people and is neat and clean. You have to be able to work with computers – namely Window styled software programs. We use Microsoft Outlook ®, Word ®, Excel ® and a custom designed web application. You should be able to type well.

At Marlboro Seamless Gutters, we don’t approach our sales effort in a hard way. That is, we want to approach each customer individually, assessing their needs and developing a proposal that best addresses those needs. We want to communicate with them in a very upfront and professional manner and then follow up with them to see how we might be of service to them. However, we aren’t pushy. Never have been and never will be.

We are working hard to continually offer new products and services. Hence, there are going to be more opportunities to work with customers. This is why it’s important to develop a good relationship with our customers.

As for this position, it is full time. Previous sales experience would be nice, but not required. There is some seasonality to the position, but we do have flexibility in the way that it is structured. We service an area from Littleton/Lincoln to Waltham/Newton to Norwood/Foxboro to Worcester…so there is certainly flexibility with regards to the territory. Ideally we are looking for someone who can service the 128 belt.

This is the most important position in the organization. We need reliable, hard working individuals to join our team. We are looking for people who are comfortable using hand tools (drills, tape measures, chalk lines, levels, etc.) You must be able to comfortably carry and work on ladders (from 8 ft to 40 ft). You are working outdoors, so you must be physically able to do so. You must have reliable transportation.

You must be neat and clean. You must be able to work well with people and have a positive attitude. We are invited to come to our customer’s properties and to install our systems. We treat each and every person’s property as if it was our own. It’s important that everyone who works for us understands this and is willing to accept the fact that we treat all of our customers as we’d want to be treated. We work very hard, but we have fun and we are very fair. We very much work as a team.

Previous experience with gutter installation preferred. There are both full time and part time positions available.
